A ribbon that changes colour as it turns. Every element is twisted a half-turn on its axis: white gloss on one side, gold on the other — and the crown never looks the same twice.

The lower edge is ragged: individual ribbons descend deeper than the rest. The base is a dark wedge with a bright white vein along its face, and between it and the crown there is almost nothing.

By day it is a sculpture in twisted metal — dense, rhythmic, with the interplay of two finishes. In the evening the light falls on the gold faces and reflects in warm patches while the white ones stay cool: a vortex of sparks hangs above black stone.
