A composition about a flock that has already scattered. The same sickle form — a narrow wing with sharp ends and a twist — but read quietly: a white matte mass with gold elements strewn through it as rare flares.

The elements are turned at random, some rising above the main mass, others breaking away below. The flock reads as sparse and mobile rather than drawn up — the moment after take-off, before the formation has settled.

By day it is a cloud of leaves or birds below the ceiling — light, almost incorporeal. In the evening the white field gives a soft even glow without highlights, while the gold reflects sharply, in points. The difference between the two finishes creates the rhythm: a calm luminous ground with occasional hot sparks in it.
