The same device, opened out. The feathers are laid not in a ring but in a spiral: a dense coil above unwinds downward and runs off to the right as a tail, shedding feathers along the way. The last ones hang alone, apart from the mass — movement shown together with its fading.

The palette is olive and gold: from subdued moss green above to warm ochre and old gold in the tail. The transition is gradual, without boundaries, so the spiral reads as a single gesture rather than two halves.

By day the panel works through silhouette and gradient: the ribbed surface of close barbs catches the light in bands and changes with the sun. In the evening gold lines light up along the rims and the spiral becomes volumetric — you can see the layers, the overlaps and the way the tail loses density toward its end.

Where it works

Feature walls — halls, stair landings, private living rooms, reception areas, gallery spaces. The open form sits well on a long wall and along a stair flight.

Style

Art Nouveau and contemporary decorative sculpture: movement inscribed into a plane. The message is dynamic — a piece for a wall that should lead the eye.

The overall size of the spiral, the number of feathers, the palette and the lighting scheme are all made to order.
