A composition about the nugget. The face is polished to a mirror while the sides and back drift into dark patina — each stone reads as an ingot lifted from the ground and burnished on one side only. This is not an ornament but a find: the piece shows both the gold and the rock it came out of.

The stones are laid out in an elongated horizontal group: large at the centre, small at the edges, with breaks and clusterings. The composition is deliberately asymmetrical — it has not been arranged, it has been poured out.

By day it is a scatter of nuggets: gold on crumpled folds gives complex warm highlights, while the dark patina around the edges outlines each stone and separates it from its neighbour. In the evening, under directional light, the composition flares as a whole; under diffuse light it stays calm and almost graphic. Gold found in the rock.
