Mirrors
LC0081
A composition about a single fold. There is no fine detailing here: a broad band wraps the mirror in a circle and turns back on itself, leaving the cut visible. One gesture across the whole frame — and that is the entire intent.
The opening is strongly displaced toward the upper edge and has an uneven, multi-faceted contour. The symmetry is broken deliberately: the piece reads as a shell or a rolled leaf, not as a classical round frame.
By day the frame works through plasticity — pale leaf gold with wear and fine cracks, almost white on the raised sections, drifting into copper in the shadows. In the evening, under directional light, the single fold throws a deep dramatic shadow and the volume doubles in strength. The convex plate gathers the room into a compact reflection with strong distortion at the edges.
Where it works
Entrance halls, living rooms, private studies, boudoirs, gallery walls. The asymmetry needs clear space around it: the piece does not sit in a row with others.
Style
Contemporary sculpture and organic modernism: one form instead of ornament. The message is spare — a piece for an interior that chooses a single strong detail.
The diameter, the depth of the fold, the displacement of the opening and the gilding finish are all made to order.
