The same shell set upright. The layers no longer run in circles but converge upward toward a pointed apex, with the pearl shifted into the upper third: the form becomes teardrop-like, with a clear direction. The folds are larger and softer — a few broad waves instead of close accretions.
Direction changes the piece fundamentally. The round version is static; this one reaches upward.
By day the object reads as a mussel shell stood on end: polished gold with cool pearlescent reflections along the rims, pure sculpture. In the evening the light from the matte pearl runs down the folds and spreads across the full height — the lower part stays in shadow and works as form, the upper part burns. A drop of light in a metal setting.
Where it works
Entrance halls, narrow corridors, bedrooms, stair flights, private reception rooms. The vertical format goes where there is no width: in piers and along flights.
Style
Art Nouveau and organic modernism: a natural form with direction. The message is aspiring — a piece for a narrow space that needs height.
The dimensions, the depth of the relief, the metal finish and the position of the pearl are all made to order.

It deliberately provokes ambiguous associations — bodily, intimate, almost embarrassing — while remaining firmly within the field of art. Flowing metal seems to echo the folds, curves and hollows of living matter. The form appears warm, moist, ‘breathing’, as if the surface responded to touch and light. The central matte element — the core of the composition — draws the eye, heightening the sense of hidden inner energy. The light here is not demonstrative but intimate. It does not illuminate the space directly but softly lights the form from within, creating a feeling of closeness, almost awkwardness — that very moment when the gaze lingers longer than ‘proper’.
