Polished brass stems are gathered into a trunk that fans open at the top. Deep red glass discs with a dense needle texture sit on them, some turned edge-on to the viewer. Light enters the centre of a disc and runs out along the needles, so the rim burns brighter than the middle. The base is a cylinder in graphite upholstery on a brass disc. Made to order for the project.
