Floor lamp

A composition about a flame that does not burn out. A cold base and a hot top — the whole object is built on that contrast: a technical, almost architectural base and a living organic crown.
A bundle of polished rods rises as a strict column, and at the top amber tongues with bubbles open out, gathered into a single ascending form.
By day it is chrome and amber: a strict vertical with a warm cap, a piece read through the contrast of two temperatures. In the evening the light inside is reflected over and over between the tongues, and the flame burns steadily, without one movement — a fire from which time has been taken away.
Where it works
Solo beside an armchair, in a pair or a trio — and then the floor lamps become an avenue of fires: a rhythm for an entrance hall, a staircase or a winter garden.
Style
Industrial luxury and organic Art Nouveau: engineering below, nature above. The message is strong — a piece for an interior with character.
The height, the finish of the rods and the tone of the flame are all made to order.

@vargov_design →Floor lamp LC0559 This floor lamp is a vertical light sculpture — an elongated, composed, almost architectural object in which the strict geometry of metal meets the living plasticity of glass. Tall metal rods form a rhythm and a sense of an inner frame, as if holding the light within the composition. The upper part is built from clear glass elements recalling elongated ice forms, gathered into a single rising line. Light passes through the glass, reflects many times within the volume and creates a soft inner glow. The silhouette has a sense of striving upward — as if the form were reaching for the light while keeping its slenderness and noble rigour. Max: Vargov Design Vargov_Design
