Floor lamp
LC0200
A column shedding feathers. The column is dense at the middle and thinned at its ends: below, individual feathers break away from the mass and hang on their own, as though they had only just fallen.
The light runs along the axis and spreads into the grooves of the vane: every feather glows in strokes rather than as a patch. The amber ones fill from within, the clear ones give highlights — one structure, two behaviours.
By day the lamp reads as a clear sculpture at human height — all but invisible, only contours and flares along the ribs. In the evening the spiral lights up from bottom to top, and the column becomes a shaft of light that is losing feathers.
Where it works
Living rooms, halls, private reception rooms, showrooms, restaurant areas, lobbies.
Style
Art Nouveau and contemporary opulence: flowing lines, gilding, natural textures. The message is moulting — a composition about plumage renewing itself while the bird stays.
The column height, the number of feathers and the ratio of amber to clear are all made to order.
