Gold at the NY Product Design Awards 2026

The NY Product Design Awards jury has announced the early results of the 2026 season. Among the winners is our light composition LC0545-1 — entered as “Lily Light Composition” — and it has taken Gold Winner in the “Outdoor Lighting - Designer / Custom Lighting” category. Its winner’s page is live on the awards website.

What this award is

The NY Product Design Awards is a product design competition run by International Awards Associate: entries are judged by an international jury, and every winner gets a page of their own on the awards website. That is exactly where the value lies for us: the page sits outside our own site, so it can be cited without citing us.

In the awards section, next to the link to the award page, there are three images: the personalised certificate, the jury’s letter and the trophy. Only the award itself goes into the count — the letter remains the document that comes with it.

Why this is not a “second win”

The brand has been recognised at the NY Product Design Awards before: in 2023 Anton Vargov received the title Product Designer of the Year for the LC0343 composition, and the LC0313 composition took two golds — in decorative lighting and in pendant luminaires. So it is wrong to call the current award a second win: the 2023 awards have now been joined by gold in 2026, and that gold is the first in the outdoor and custom lighting category.

Why this composition

LC0545-1 is the same bouquet at a larger scale: the corollas are enlarged, the garland opens up, and air appears between the flowers. The piece stops being a dense line and reads as a sparse branch, where every flower stands on its own.

The contrast between the two characters remains: the milky-white corollas hold a matte calm, the smoky-translucent ones give depth and a highlight. By day the composition reads through the shape of the petals and the gaps between them; in the evening the white ones glow evenly, the translucent ones let the light pass straight through, and the chain of flowers shimmers in alternation.

What this category means

Outdoor and custom lighting is not about a street lamp. This category covers pieces that are put together for one particular place rather than made as a run of identical units. For a composition where the number of corollas, the spacing between them and the balance of white and smoky are set to suit the room, it is an exact fit.

What the award changes

In production, nothing changes: the same hand assembly and the same three-dimensional mock-up that the client sees before the build begins. What changes is the conversation with the architect: the composition now has independent validation that can be cited in a project.
