Wall lighting compositions

A composition about a principle from which combinations grow. Every module is self-sufficient — one panel works as a wall light. But the real story begins in the assembly: the panels fall into a rhythm, with offsets and pauses, and as in origami one principle gives rise to endless variants.
Rectangular panels with a radial relief read as sheets of paper folded into a fan; at the centre of each is a gold mirrored window.
By day the relief reads through light and shade while the mirrored windows gather the room — the wall works as graphic art. In the evening warm light leaves the windows, the rays of the relief radiate from it, and every panel glows like a small sun behind a blind.
Where they work
A strict horizontal above a console, a chequerboard order in a stairwell, a continuous light panel in a living room. The layout is chosen for a specific wall.
Style
Art Deco and modular design: the panel as a unit of composition. The message is architectural — a piece that works with a wall rather than hanging on it.
The number of panels, the layout and the scale are all made to order.

But a special meaning appears when the elements begin to interact with one another: they gather into rhythm, into pauses, into architectural graphics of the surface. The composition can be built freely — change the scale, the direction, the number of modules, create vertical, horizontal or fully asymmetric solutions. This is a story with no rigid scheme. There is only space, a feeling for form and the ability to make something out of the ordinary that is anything but ordinary. As in origami: one principle — an endless number of combinations.
