A composition about the fogged window of a greenhouse. The pane here is not perfectly clear but carries condensation and fine droplets on its inner face — and that is the key decision. The greenery is seen indistinctly, as through a morning conservatory window: neither a picture nor a plant, but a condition.
Inside the round case dense greenery is laid in layers — ferns, monstera, fronds of several kinds. The backlight is hidden around the inner perimeter and runs as a ring.
By day the panel works as a decorative inset of calm green: a circle of green on the wall, read through colour. In the evening the ring light strikes the plants from the side, the front leaves come into focus and the far ones dissolve into a luminous haze — and a round window into a winter garden opens in the wall.
Where it works
Interiors without windows — corridors, dressing rooms, washrooms, meeting rooms, lift lobbies, spas. The piece solves a specific problem: it gives a view where there is none.
Style
Biodesign and the Victorian conservatory tradition: the plant under a bell as a collector's object. The message is convivial — a piece for a room that needs bringing to life.
The case diameter, the plant selection, the planting density and the colour temperature of the backlight are all made to order.
